So a Neighbor Asked…What is Bureaucratic Review?

“So a Neighbor Asked” is a Mountain States Legal Foundation webinar series where our attorneys help you understand the Constitution, the law, and the principles of liberty.
In this episode, David McDonald is joined by Katie Smithgall, Assistant Solicitor General for Montana, and Kelly Longwell, daughter to Sidney Longwell, the long-term client who finally got justice. Their topic: how can bureaucratic review hold a family oil and gas company hostage for over 30 years, denying their right to drill on a lease they’ve paid for? How do the courts help or hurt the family’s efforts to make productive use of their land? What can we do about it?
“So a Neighbor Asked” webinars typically occur live on the last Wednesday of every month (assuming no major holiday) and typically are hosted live at 11:00 AM Mountain Time.
