The Arlene Edgar Distinguished Lecture Series

Join us for an inspiring evening on April 23, 2026, as Cristen Wohlgemuth, President and CEO of Mountain States Legal Foundation, presents at the Permian Basin Petroleum Museum in Midland, Texas.

Cristen Wohlgemuth leads one of the nation’s premier public-interest law firms dedicated to defending Constitutional liberties, protecting private property rights, and fighting government overreach. A graduate of Texas A&M University and St. Mary’s University School of Law, Cristen began her career teaching Advanced Placement U.S. Government before serving in state government as a budget and policy advisor to Rick Perry, where she focused on natural resource policy and conservative legislative priorities. She later served as Executive Director of the Claremont Institute Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence, concentrating on constitutional law and the principles of limited government.

Since joining Mountain States Legal Foundation in 2017, Cristen has helped lead the charge in major cases defending natural resource producers, challenging unlawful federal regulations, advancing equal protection under the law, and protecting Second Amendment rights through MSLF’s Center to Keep and Bear Arms. Under her leadership, MSLF continues its mission—first established in 1976—to stand for the Constitution, individual liberty, and the rule of law.

Don’t miss this fascinating and timely discussion about freedom, the Constitution, and the legal battles shaping our nation’s future.
