Mountain States Legal Foundation has always believed in the importance of equal protection. When the government takes into account your skin color or sex for the purposes of education, jobs, or other opportunities, we all lose. In focusing on these traits, the government misses the fundamental promise of our nation: equal treatment under the law. And state-sponsored discrimination based on skin color, ethnicity, or sex, must be rejected at every turn.
