Whether you grew up hearing the story of David and Goliath or only know it as a cultural reference, you likely remember the heart of it: a small boy who couldn’t even wear the King’s armor, but who had faith and confidence in the principles his country stood on and went to fight with nothing but a slingshot, picking up 5 Stones on his way across the valley to face the giant. There’s a story that always stuck with me.
A few months after I joined Mountain States Legal Foundation, I visited the very valley in Israel where David picked up those five stones. I brought five stones home with me, and I keep them on my desk as a reminder of what it means to fight faithfully and fearlessly no matter the odds.
That’s the essence of what we do at MSLF.
For nearly 50 years, we’ve taken on the giants:
