Operations Fellowship

Role

The Operations Intern will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer to support the organization’s operational excellence. This role offers hands-on experience in nonprofit management, exposure to strategic decision-making, and opportunities to contribute to impactful projects that strengthen MSLF’s mission. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • General Office Administration 
    – Manage front desk operations, including welcoming guests and coordinating deliveries. 
    – Handle incoming and outgoing mail efficiently. 
    – Provide phone support and direct inquiries to appropriate staff. 
  • Building Management 
    – Assist with office space planning, vendor coordination, and maintenance scheduling.
    – Support initiatives to improve workplace efficiency and safety. 
  • Finance 
    – Help with expense tracking, invoice processing, and budget preparation. 
    – Participate in financial reporting and audit preparation. 
  • Staff Culture Initiatives 
    – Contribute to employee engagement programs and internal communications. 
    – Assist in organizing team-building activities and recognition efforts. 
  • Special Projects 
    – Collaborate on cross-functional projects that enhance organizational performance. 
    – Conduct research and provide administrative support for strategic initiatives. 
  • Board Meeting Preparation 
    – Assist in compiling board materials, presentations, and reports. 
    – Support logistics for board meetings and related events. 

Qualifications 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Nonprofit Management, or related field. 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). 
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities. 
  • Interest in nonprofit operations and mission-driven work.
