Denver, Colorado — April 20, 2021 — Director of MSLFâs Center to Keep and Bear Arms Cody J. Wisniewski released the following statement today in response to the U.S. Supreme Courtâs decision to not hear three cases involving Americans who face lifetime gun bans for nonviolent offenses:
“The Supreme Courtâs decision to not review the three cases before it involving federal firearms bans imposed on non-violent individuals is frustrating, but it is certainly not the end of this story. MSLFâs Center to Keep and Bear Arms was specifically founded to focus on the long gameâthe Supreme Courtâs denials here change little for that long game. We will continue to fight for Americansâ natural rights, as protected by the Second Amendment, in courtrooms across the nation. If anything, the Justicesâ silence as to the denial of certiorari in these three casesâincluding five Justices that have specifically noted the Supreme Court needs to address the Second Amendment issues plaguing our Nationâmay indicate something bigger is coming soon. Either way, MSLFâs Center to Keep and Bear Arms will not give up the fightânot now, not ever.”
