MSLF Undaunted After SCOTUS Declines to Hear Three Important Gun Cases

Denver, ColoradoApril 20, 2021 — Director of MSLF’s Center to Keep and Bear Arms Cody J. Wisniewski released the following statement today in response to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to not hear three cases involving Americans who face lifetime gun bans for nonviolent offenses:

“The Supreme Court’s decision to not review the three cases before it involving federal firearms bans imposed on non-violent individuals is frustrating, but it is certainly not the end of this story.  MSLF’s Center to Keep and Bear Arms was specifically founded to focus on the long game—the Supreme Court’s denials here change little for that long game.  We will continue to fight for Americans’ natural rights, as protected by the Second Amendment, in courtrooms across the nation.  If anything, the Justices’ silence as to the denial of certiorari in these three cases—including five Justices that have specifically noted the Supreme Court needs to address the Second Amendment issues plaguing our Nation—may indicate something bigger is coming soon.  Either way, MSLF’s Center to Keep and Bear Arms will not give up the fight—not now, not ever.”
