Paige Joins MSLF Communications Team

Denver, CO — June 6, 2020 — Mountain States Legal Foundation this week announced a new addition to its growing communications shop. Sean Paige, a former editorial page editor at the Colorado Springs Gazette, who most recently handled press relations for Senate Republicans at the Colorado General Assembly, will lead the MSLF communications team.

Paige has nearly 30 years of experience in journalism, issues advocacy, media relations and public policy work, 14 years of which were spent in Washington, D.C. He formerly served on the Colorado Springs City Council and Utilities Board. He was a spokesman for Citizens Against Government Waste, the nation’s top taxpayer advocacy group, and the Warren Brookes Fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, a free market think tank.

Paige says a longstanding interest in public lands, property rights, endangered species, free markets, and environment issues strongly drew him to MSLF. “I’ve admired the organization and its work for decades, so the opportunity to actually join the team, and to help fight for so many great clients and causes, was irresistible.”

He and the rest of the MSLF staff aim to further raise MSLF’s profile through greater use of social media tools and further experimentation with webinars, podcasts, public forums and virtual press briefings. Showcasing MSLF’s talented team of attorneys and telling client stories also will be an emphasis moving forward.

“There are very smart and talented attorneys at MSLF, working on important cases and issues, and we want to be a go-to resource for journalists working in the same space,” added Paige.

“We want to help win debates in the court of public opinion as well as the court of law, and the experience and energy Sean brings to the team will help us do that,” said MSLF President Cristen Wohlgemuth.
