Carina M. Constancio was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where she was homeschooled with her younger brother until graduating high school.
Education
In 2019 Carina moved from California to Denver, Colorado and attended Colorado Christian University for her undergraduate degree. During her time at CCU Carina served as the 2022-2023 Student Body President, where she furthered student initiatives and helped cultivate community at CCU. This role provided her with invaluable leadership and team building experience that she continues to utilize to this day. Carina graduated from Colorado Christian University with a B.A. in Strategic Communication, a minor in English and specializations in Marketing Management and Public Relations. In 2025, Carina obtained an Advanced Certification in Counterterrorism with a specialization in Influence Operations from Reichman University's International Institute for Counterterrorism (ICT).
Professional Experience
Prior to her work at Mountain States, Carina worked under contract as a social media and podcast manager for several clients and helped them grow their engagement, audience and brand. During her time at CCU, Carina worked for the university’s Communications & Creative Services Department as an intern, where she did research, website updates, social media and other internal and external communications projects. Carina also holds certifications in social media engagement and social media marketing.
Current Position at MSLF
Just 3 weeks after graduating from CCU, Carina began working at Mountain States Legal Foundation. While interviewing for the position, Carina fell in love with the mission of Mountain States and was thrilled to have the opportunity to work at an organization that aligned with so many of her values. Two years into her role, Carina loves working for the cause of liberty and with her coworkers many of whom she considers her friends. But perhaps her favorite part of the job is the variety in the types of projects she gets to work on, with there never being a “dull moment” and the fast pace of the organization means there is always something new every week. In her role as Development Associate, Carina furthers the mission of Mountain States by assisting the development and fundraising team with donor cultivation and fundraising campaigns which include physical mailings, donor calls, donor benefits and donation tax receipts. She also assists with CRM management and donation processing involving updating and creating donor records, ensuring all information is up to date and donations are correctly attributed. She also assists the Communications Department in design projects for marketing materials put out by MSLF.
Personal Life/Interests
When she is not working, Carina likes to keep life simple and low key. Her hobbies include walking/running, Krav Maga (Israeli Combat System), making her own candles, soaps and skincare, going shooting at the gun range, baking, and doing security for her church. Carina also enjoys spending time cuddling and training with her Beauceron puppy Tzevi!
