“Rewilding” advocates will say anything to get wolves into your state. They’ll promise to compensate ranchers who suffer losses when the animals tear into their herds. They’ll promise that the packs will be responsibly managed once the benchmarks of a reintroduction program have been met.
But don’t trust a word they say.
Experience shows that they’ll eventually rig the rules to favor wolves and disadvantage ranchers. It’s the kind of bait-and-switch for which the Green Lobby is notorious.
